**Richard is a foreigner in Taiwan and therefore requires special care.
Foreigners come to Taiwan to live, work, travel, or to escape justice. If we all work together, we can maintain a tidy, safe, and happy environment. These simple rules will help.
Look but do not touch. Do not feed them or give them water. If foreigners become accustomed to being around local people, it may alter their behavior.
Don't pursue or chase a foreigner. Never poke, prod, or stab a foreigner with anything. Do not attempt to snag, hook, hold, grab, pinch, or ride a foreigner.
Do not isolate or single out an individual foreigner, don't separate a baby from it's mother.
Avoid excessive noise when around foreigners, it may cause them to leave the area.
Don't throw your trash into the street. Foreigners can become entangled or eat the trash and die or have limbs cut off.
Be respectful of the foreigners’ space. Some foreigners do not like to be stared at. If they make it apparent that they don’t want your company, avert your eyes, and walk away. Please be considerate of their ways of communication. Always talk to foreigners in a low soothing voice. Never use any negative words or argue in the foreigners’ presence.
Don't be in close proximity to the foreigners if they are ill or have a canker sore, as they can transmit viruses.
Never touch the foreigner’s food once it is in their possession. Don't ever take anything away from a foreigner. If it is something they shouldn’t have, let a police officer know immediately.
